Vintage Cheers Bar Boston Memorabilia White Coffee Cup - 1987

Description

After Cheers debut in 1982, I quickly became a big fan of the show.
I obtained this coffee cup from one of my Subordinate Manager's at our office Christmas Party in December 1988.
The front view of the white coffee cup contains the following black text "Cheers" as illustrated in the television show's iconic script form and "BOSTON" in bold lettering as shown in the
first attached high resolution photograph

Also contained on the front side of the cup are two copyright symbols, the date "1987" and the text "P.P.C."
Note:
There are some minor graphic flaws in the lettering, specifically the "R" and "S" and the "Scroll Tail" under the Cheers "RS" visible in the
second attached high resolution photograph
that occurred during the application of the "Cheers" logo by the Cup Manufacturer.
These slight flaws were not identified in the Quality Assurance process so it is certainly unique in that aspect.
The coffee cup’s height is approximately 3 ¾ inches high, composed of porcelain and holds approximately 10 ounces of liquid.
The cup's handle is approximately 2 ½ inches high by 1 ¼ inches wide.

The cup's top width is approximately 3 inches in diameter.
The bottom view of the Cheers Bar Boston Coffee Cup is shown in the

The cup's bottom width is approximately 3 inches in diameter.
The cup's bottom has an inner porcelain mound that measures 2 ½ inches in diameter and is the cup's bottom surface.
As exhibited in the seven photographs, this Cheers Bar Boston Coffee Cup contains no chips, scratches or stains and is in excellent condition.
This cup has never been used, only displayed in my workplace office.
Upon retirement, this Cheers Bar Boston Coffee Cup was carefully packed in bubble wrap and stored in a sealed plastic container in our smoke free home.
Since relocating from Manassas, VA to Fort Myers, FL I no longer have the space to display or indefinitely store this item.
Therefore I am placing this item for sale on eBay.
It's a great opportunity for any Cheers show fan to acquire a piece of television comedy history.
