INSANELY RARE Vintage pre-prohibition Anthracite Brewing Co. wooden crate
really fine specimen from the Anthracite Brewing Co. (1897-1920)
pre-prohibition brewery items in IMMACULATE condition like this tend become harder and harder to find!!

this beer crate features embossed 2 color lettering on the two long side of the crate reading: "ANTHRACITE BEER - MOUNT CARNEL BREWERY - MOUNT CARMEL, PA."
one color black embossed lettering on the 2 short sides reading: "PHONE 1000 - ANTHRACITE BEER - MOUNT CARMEL. PA."
and a makers mark of Owens Illinois Glass Company Fairmont WV on the inside
Anthracite Brewing Co. was the only brewery located in Mount Carmel, PA area so items from this location and time are SCARCE
CONDITION
vintage used and kept in great condition... it looks as it did when it was made (presumably) there seems to be little wear, chipping, or fading to the lettering or the finish
I have made no attempt to clean, repaint or repair this crate.... it was really found this clean.
