Ford E-Series Van. Condition: Body has no damage (see Photos) and has been preserved inside garage or carport for its entire life. No road salt damage (Texas) All miles by one original owner, me. Has been kept running but with low annual mileage and frequent oil changes. Has been kept registered for all but five years when up on blocks in storage. There is a small wish list of minor repairs needed, to make perfect. For example the front doors window weatherstrips need replacement and are available. The air conditioner needs repair and upgrading to 134 refrigerant. Driver side window and door lock switch needs replacing or repair. The O-ring at the lower end of the transmission dipstick/filler tube needs replacing. The Michelin tires look and feel great with no drying cracks and plenty of flexibility still. The tread is deep and the mileage on the tires is 4,723 BUT these tires are almost 23 years old. They may look great and I drive on them a few times a year in my home town and on state highways, but not on the divided highways or above 50 MPH. Do NOT drive on these tires. Complete records have been kept from 1985 until present. To start with, here is the original Window Sticker, extensive list of added options. (with a few of my explanations) The options almost doubled the original cost of the van. If the buyer's objective is to fully restore the vehicle to its fresh-off-the-assembly-line state, They may all be removed non-destructively, preserving the both the vehicle and the features. The original carpet has been preserved under quarter-inch tempered hardboard and is new condition. The hardboard may be easily slid in and out in two pieces, one to opt for carpet at the optional bench seat, at the front of the cargo area and one at the rear.There is an aftermarket, removable, rear, folding bench seat with seat belts. It can be inserted easily with just four bolts, with big wingnut heads.The Cabinets and three-drawer toolbox bench can be removed, non destructively.The Shelving down the driver's side of the cargo area also can be removed, non destructively.The 1/8" tempered hardboard paneling is mounted with 1/8" aluminum pop rivets. The paneling retains the 3.5" insulation which helps heating and cooling and provides very good sound reduction.The rear wheel wells are insulated and boxed in to provide sound reduction.The original AM radio was not preserved but many are still available.
